Gold BeES

GoldBees price has been rising since 2018-19 while gold is consolidating/not rising.

GoldBees does not mirror the price movement of Gold?

Is GOLDBEES a good option to buy for long term or better to invest in Gold bonds or futures?

Gold BeES performance may deviate a bit from underlying asset (gold) as 100% of the corpus is not invested in gold and also there are other expenses to take care of.

Gold BeES has been moving up and down with gold prices (INR). Isn't it?

I think the best way to invest in gold is to buy sovereign gold bonds which will earn some extra interest.

Use futures only if you want to use leverage and understand the risks involved.

By comparing GoldBees chart with Gold, I noticed that Goldbees price kept on moving higher during 2018-20 period while Gold prices were falling or sideways. Correct me if I am wrong.

For sovereign gold bonds is there a fix time period for investment or gold bonds can be traded like Bees?

Also special knowledge would be needed to find out bond prices/yield etc. where can I find more information on Gold bonds? NSE website has limited info on gold bonds.

Which is the best way to own GOLD?

Gold prices have moved up substantially in the 2018-2020 period.

Gold price was around Rs 30300 in early January 2018 and Rs 31500 in early April 2018.
Now it is Rs 45000; up 49% from Jan 2018. Many major markets are closed or have low volumes now.

Gold BeES was around Rs 26.5 per unit in early January 2018 and Rs 27.5 in early April 2018.
Gold BeES price is now Rs 40.8 (up 54% from Jan 2018).

You can check the charts here:

List of sovereign gold bonds listed on NSE is available on NSE's website:

https://www1.nseindia.com/live_market/dynaContent/live_watch/equities_stock_watch.htm?cat=SGB

Gold bonds can be traded but are not very liquid.

Listed bonds are trading at a discount to gold price because of low liquidity.

It is not easy to buy/sell large quantity of sovereign gold bonds in the open market.
