I have to take risk of applying around 3 PM (close time) for one full application.

Hopefully everything will go smooth. :).

Happy Investing!

I am having same problem !
I will wait till 1:30 after that I will go for a physical application.

That will be my first physical application for any IPO. So I have some questions.

Is it possible to submit a cheque in my name, for a DP account held by my brother?

And where should I go for quick application submission?

You can use any cheque that you want.

The name (of the bank account holder) doesn't matter.

I submit my physical applications at Karvy.

If you submit around 2 PM, you will have to submit to their main office (of your city) where the applications are processed.

I was waiting for the last day to come.

And now, when today is the day, onlinesbi.com is not opening. :banghead:.
Nothing to regret for Rajesh, this issue is hugely oversubscribed and am not sure if retail investors will get one lot even..

Please find below subscription figure of MOIL Limited as on 01-December-2010 @ 12.00 pm.

Category: Over Subscription:
QIB 49.16
NIB 25.22
RET 16.18
EMP 0.42
OVERALL 33.35

Total No. of Bids: Approx 7,15,470.

This will go the Career Point way, atleast looking at the subscription levels. Stupid stupid SBI. They have a maintenance notice put up now. I think all of us applying together broke their server :).

Finally, Online SBI has got something to display "Site is down for maintenance" with a deadline 4PM IST @ Dec 01, 2010. But that would be too late for online application.

Anyways, I applied one full application at Karvy office (obviously a physical application form).

Thanks Alchemist.

Increasing Limit, No Benefit?

Without ASBA, it makes little sense to apply with any amount less than 100000.

If you want to try your luck, you may apply. If you are lucky, you will get 1 lot.

The stock will list at 70% premium.

If you get a few shares, it will be worth the effort.

------------------------------------------------------------

I don't use ASBA, but have still applied (full application).

If I consider my cost of funds as 10% per annum, my cost of funds for 15 days is Rs 833.

Suppose I get one lot (17 shares) and make Rs 200 profit per share.

After deducting capital gain tax and other charges, I will have less than 3000.

If I deduct Rs 833 too from that, I will be left with Rs 2000.

If I had used this Rs 200000 in purchasing the same stocks that I did last week, I would booked an additional 5-figure profit. :D.

I fully agree.

Increasing the limit hasn't benefited any investor.

The increased limit only means blocking an additional 1 lac and still getting the same number of shares that investors would have got if the limit was Rs 1 lac.
:dito:By increasing retail limit from one lac to two lacs, SEBI has created Sub-HNI category in retail segment.

When applying for over-valued small-cap stocks, retail investors carry extra risk when they apply for full two lac. :afraid:.

State Bank of India is not at all working from morning. Note to self: Apply well before last day for ASBA.
Yeah. But see my case, I have already applied for 1 lakh but now I can't withdraw it :( due to this stupid onlinesbi.com not working.

Now there is huge lottery for allotment and my money will get blocked unnecessary :(.

Hate you SBI.

Till now,

NII subscription = 143 times.

Retail subscription = 28 times.

If the retail subscription crosses 31 times, even those who applied for 31 lots won't get firm allotment.

Hi Alchemist,

Where did you get this data from? The NSE site shows 20 times in retail category as of 5 PM today.
Applied for 16 lots. Hoping to get 1 lot at least.

The figure is NSE only, you will have to add the figures of BSE as well, I believe Alchemist has already done that for us, hence the oversubsciption of 28 times.

Do we have an option of choosing NSE/BSE while applying for an IPO?

What is the final figure of subscription for retail category?

No. Investors don't decide whether the bid will be submitted to NSE or BSE.

Anyway, it doesn't matter because it doesn't make a difference whether the bid was submitted to NSE or BSE.

For the allotment, all bids are considered equal.

The final subscription figure won't be known before 9 PM today.
