Reason for Sharp decline in Stock Price

Sun Pharma's stock was split into 5 in November 2010 and thus the price went down by 80%.

Usually charts are adjusted for such developments but it seems Google does not adjust its charts.

Whenever you see such a sharp decline in a stock's chart, you should visit NSE's or BSE's website and check if this decline is actually an adjustment for a stock split or a bonus or a demerger or a large dividend.

Thank you for the reply. Reuters and Economic Times also report split. There I saw it for one company and I understood the reason.

Google is not consistent with it. For some I saw it.

Google portfolio is good for overall tracking of portfolio but it is not very good compared to other! Still new to this market thing so not very sure which one is the best. I am using MoneyControl with Google Finance Portfolio.

I like Google Finance as it is simple and fast page.

Thank you for the reply. Now, I know that what I need to track when I see sharp decline. It is stock split or a bonus or a demerger or a large dividend.
